2015 “Athens Artists Take Different Approaches”, Tom Shafer, Lafayette Journal & Courier
“Bogan has given us three atmospheric works of art that will hold the viewer’s attention with beautiful color and masterful control. Her bold abstract landscapes do indeed “grab a fistful of sky,” as she says in her artist’s statement. The paintings present an energy-filled, heavily textured array of vivid overlapping color that speaks volumes without added detail. I am sure that I could not describe this work any better than the artist’s own words when she outlines her artistic intent by, “Slicing the vast blue sky and mixing it with crumbles of the earth.”
